Adult Judo

Adult Beginner Class

This is a 1 month class where you will be taught the fundamentals of Judo with the goal of helping you transition into the Adult Technical Class. Designed for the beginner without any prior Judo experience, students will learn the basics of posture, footwork, falling techniques, theories, history, throwing, pinning and choking. This class is held in conjunction with the Adult Technical Class which meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm and also on Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm. Students can sign-up for 4 times a week or 8 times a week depending on their schedule.

After completing the Adult Beginner Class, students will transition to the Adult Technical class.

Adult Technical Class

Adult Lecture 4 Pagelines

This class focuses on improvement in execution of fundamental Judo techniques and continuing education in the throwing, pinning, choking and armbar techniques in the sport of Judo.  This class runs on a 2-week cycle.  The 2-week cycle focuses on developing a specific throw through graduated drills on specific facets of the technique as well as exploring the various setups to the technique.

Classes meet on:

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00pm to 9:00pm


Saturdays at 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Adult Competitor Class

Sr-Comp4Heavy emphasis on tournament style techniques and physical preparation for competition. Students eligible for this class must complete Adult Beginner Class and spend 16 weeks in the Adult Technical Class prior to joining. Instructor recommendation is required. New students planning to join this class will be evaluated for level of Judo experience and conditioning prior to being permitted to join this class.

Practices are on:

Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Kata Practice

Mat time for Judoka that are Yonkyu (Blue Belts) or higher that require mat time for practice.

Kata Practices meet on:

Tuesdays from 9:00pm to 10:00pm.


Women’s Judo Fit Program

 This “women-only” program will offer the basic principles and techniques of Judo along with target-based exercises to help with overall fitness.  No prior experience is necessary.  Having fun and sharing in this unique experience is the priority.
This course is on a session by session basis. And meets on Mondays 7pm to 8pm.
